What can we say but a 10

What a quaint little island who would think you are in Ohio. The Islander Inn made me feel like I was in the Caribbean. The hotel offers everything on the property and walking distance to downtown.

They have a spa, “Isola” is on property, in there adjacent hotel, “The Grand Islander” which was much needed. It offered massages, pedicures, manicures, airbrush tanning, facials. There coffee shop was next to that and my Chai tea latté was in order. I was surprised the selection was so big, with all the specialty coffees and teas you would ever want.

The hotel rooms were redone very bright and fresh. The new mattresses were comfortable and very clean. I liked that we walked out of your room and there were two pools right out our door, when you bring the kids it is very convenient. The one pool has a huge hot tub and felt great when the clouds appeared. The other one had and airplane water fountain with swings hanging outside the bar area. A lot of atmosphere really made us feel like we were on vacation.

You have a nice patio to eat at and can order from several venues and they deliver right on site.

We came with several families and when we wanted to get away from the Mom and Dad roll we went over to the other pool, “Splash” what a blast. They had live music, the biggest swim up bar I have ever seen. Service was spectacular, the bar tenders were unbelievable. To top it off they have a full size Pirate ship for adults only that is a bar. You had a bird’s eye view of the whole party going on from the ship, it really makes for a great atmosphere. There is water around the ship and it purposefully looks dark and dingy to go with the theme. They had full time restroom attendants that kept the entire pool area clean.

That evening it cooled down and we rented the private cabanas with hot tubs in them. What a treat our guests were ecstatic and we had our own little private party with out the mess and maintenance.

Unique Quality: The resort is family owned; the owner Tim purchased a full size real fire truck. He is very humble and hope it is okay to share this, when he grew up his dad was a volunteer fireman and this truck brings back those memories. He was so generous to give our kids a ride around town. The days of individual attention do exist and there isn’t a chain hotel that would have given us this experience. I don’t know what else you would want we couldn’t have asked for more. The Islander Inn was a 10 for us.
