Packing List
by rossandkelli
Go to the park in October! The crowds are very small, our longest wait was 45 minutes which is great compared to the 3+ hours in the summer. Wear warm cloths with layers, get a locker when you get there for your coat and stuff and then when the sun goes down go back for it. Take gloves and a hat! It's chilly but I'd rather be chilly than sweating in 100 degree weather while waiting in 3 hour lines. Also, the park does it all up in Halloween...very cool.

OK! Here's one I WON'T ride! But every one of my kids loves this one! If you are a coaster fan you MUST visit this one! Voted the 'Best Steel Roller Coaster in the World,' for the third year in a row in a poll conducted by Amusement Today, the Magnum is still one of the most popular rides ever built at the historic amusement park. When it opened in 1989, the Magnum XL-200 was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world and was the first scream machine to top the 200-foot-tall barrier.
Underground Railroad Erie County Marker
by Yaqui
The plaque reads: Many homes in Sandusky and other parts of Eric County were station on the Underground Railroad before and during the Civil War. Residents provided food, shelter, clothing and transportation to Canada. Harriet Beecher Stowe used Sandusky as the gate to freedom for the run-aways slaves in her book "Uncle Tom's Cabin".
My former life

"Anything you want to know"
I was born here in Sandusky, Ohio. 'Home of America's rockin' roller coast, on coming riders please keep your, hands, legs and arms inside the vehicle at all times.' So I know the question you are next going to ask is, "Did you ever work at Cedar Point??" Yes, yes I did for 5 years. In fact, both my sisters, my brother, my mother, my aunt, and most of my friends at one point or another worked at Cedar Point. And the next question you are going to ask is, "Was it really fun?!!" And I have very mixed reviews on that. They got me hooked when I was 14. At 14 you aren't allowed to do much of anything besides running the cash register and you are making money for the first time so it is awesome. You claim that you will never be back again, but you come back, you are addicted like to a cigarette. But I owe many a good thing from CP, on thing is all my friends over seas. Without CP I would not have had the desire to go running around Eastern (excuse me Central) Europe. So you can ask me anything about planning your trip to the rollercoaster capital of the world, and I should be able to help you. I can even give you directions on where the locations of ATMs that are located through out the park!
