Society of Historic Sharonville Museum
Greater Cincinnati is home to several world class museums. This is definitely not one of them. But to provide full coverage of my home town, I must give it a mention.
This small museum, on the corner of Main St. and Creek Rd., is housed in an old fire station., It was born out of Sharonville's centennial celebration in 1988, and is only open three hours per month - the first Sunday - 1-4 p.m. Shortly after moving to Sharonville, we waited for the appropriate time and made our visit. We left knowing little more about Sharonville than we did before. Perhaps the information was there, hidden away in some box or file, but it was rather helter-skelter and poorly displayed. The volunteer on duty spent her time trying to sign us up to join the society, which seemed to be primarily for people with ancestral ties to the community. If you are an ardent history buff who just MUST learn more about Sharonville, perhaps you could find a few clues here. If you have just a casual interest there won't be much here for you.
