Springfield Rocks. Ok not really.
"Springfield for the Visitor"
I've lived in Springfield since 2001 when I moved there from 'the big city'. The people in Springfield are pretty friendly. Pass someone on the sidewalk and they'll probably say 'hi' to you even if you're a total stranger. Things are pretty quiet in the town. No loud ruckus (where I live at least), and usually no major news (actually maybe I just never watch the news, come to think of it. :) ). If you're looking for stuff to do, there's one decent indoor mall off of Route 68 with a movie theater. And there's plenty of restaurants everywhere you go in Springfield. From what I've seen, the bar scene is pretty pathetic, usually just semi-trashy hangouts. And pretty much the whole south side is kind of dirty and white-trash. :) Up north near the Wittenberg area things are considerably nicer. But if you're really bored, remember that you can easily reach the Fairborn/Beavercreek area of Dayton within about half an hour, and of course there's a lot more stuff to do there. All in all, though, Springfield is a decent town with decent people.
