Just Fine and Just What You'd Expect
As you can see from the photo, a standard double room has two nicely appointed queen-size beds and a chair and ottoman. There's also a desk, cable tv, coffee-making essentials, clock radio and thick fluffy towels. There's a pool and a workout room. The front desk has a small "convenience" store, and at 10 p.m. when I was famished, I was able to buy some yogurt.
The beds are comfy. The airconditioning/heating unit was a bit noisier than I would have liked (only two fan speeds), but not bad, and at least you could warm up or cool down the room quickly.
My favorite thing was the FREE no-hassle internet connection (not wireless, but I'm not complaining.)
It's hard to find a decent restaurant nearby, but a local chain, Damon's, will deliver to the hotel, as will a couple of pizza places and Chinese restaurants.
This can be nice if there's two feet of snow on the ground.
Don't laugh. It's possible. Willoughby is in the infamous "snow belt" where "lake-effect snow" can pile up fast and deep. Cold winds pick up moisture from (the relatively) warm Lake Erie, and can dump prodigious amounts of the stuff just a few miles inland.
I paid only $96 - a corporate rate - but the usual rate for a double is $139.
Unique Quality: Free internet!
