Delighted with this hotel, nice room, nice staff

I am a woman traveling alone. What matters to me in a hotel is simply that it's safe and clean. I felt very safe at this Econo Lodge, and it was well-maintained, newly-painted, and clean. But I was pleasantly surprised to find more than that. It was also very quiet, a peaceful place to rest after a long drive. The staff was polite and helpful ( even when I rung the bell after 1 AM to ask for the wi-fi password. -- This validates my belief that a manager who is pet-friendly will likely be people-friendly, too!)) I stayed for two days and in that time saw the staff working hard to provide very nice accommodations, for the least expensive price in town. In addition, I loved seeing lots of greenery and trees outside my window. The hotel is nestled between cafes and restaurants with outdoor patios, sharing a parking lot with Starbucks, and an outdoor mall across the street. Have already recommended this hotel to several people, because it's a great find.

Unique Quality: I enjoyed the little birds that chirped outside my window. I enjoyed making use of the Bible provided in the room (How many hotels do that anymore?). I enjoyed watching festive people waiting outside of the busy restaurant next door, especially when a young couple spontaneously started swing dancing, to the delight of the older folks. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood feeling pretty much as safe as I do at home. I enjoyed eating my own fresh, healthy meals in the room, which I bought at an organic-friendly Kroger across the street. (I wasn't really expecting a fridge in the room, at such a low charge, but I was thrilled to see there was one indeed). My room was spacious and peaceful and my stay at this Econo Lodge was a happy time. I suppose for someone looking for the fancy hotel experience, no, that's not what this place is about. But for someone like me who enjoys the trip more when they are not paying a fortune, this is simply a clean, nice, friendly place to stay. Now that I've found this Econo-Lodge, I will be looking for excuses to come back to Worthington again.
