A GOOD STOP IN NORTHERN OKLAHOMA
"BLACKWELL, OKLAHOMA"
WE LIKED BLACKWELL. OK, its not a booming town, its not all polished up, but somehow we liked it. Maybe it was the nice couple we met who run the Holy Grounds Coffee & Gift Shop (see shopping tips). Maybe it was the nice motel we stayed at (see Hotels & Motels tips).
Blackwell is 3 miles east of Interstate 35 in northern Oklahoma, probably only ten miles or so from the Kansas line.
Blackwell has been struggling economically, they have had industries shut down and so on, but they are keeping on with keeping on. Good for them.
"A MUSEUM IN BLACKWELL"
IT WAS CLOSED WHEN WE WERE THERE IN THE EARLY MORNING, BUT IT LOOKS INTRIGUING.
