This is one of those places we actually plan to stop at. When you travel a lot, you stay at a lot of motels. When you find one that is clean, comfortable, quiet, and reasonably priced, you remember it, and if you are going to be stopping anywhere near the area, you shoot for that particular motel. We have stayed here many times, and have never been dissatisfied or dissappointed in any way. If you have children with you, the rooms with two beds are large and roomy. If it's just you, the single rooms are much more roomy than you will find at most places.
ROOM, hard to find now a days. CLEAN, also a nice suprise. QUIET, refreshing. COMFORTABLE BEDS, makes all the difference in the world.
Locally owned and operated. 55 rooms. Swimming pool.
This has the benefit of getting you off and back on the Interstate faster than other Guthrie accommodations, but as to historic flair and proximity to the action, this is the least attractive of Guthrie's lodges.
One of few motels that are part of a national chain in Guthrie, but a little away from the main centers of attraction.
Of course it doesn't look anything like a town house or any of the historic buildings downtown. If you wanted such a thing, scan for Guthrie's B & B's. This swanky looking place is actually modestly priced and certainly near the historic center.
Near the historic center and not far from the monstrosity (i.e. the county courthouse).
