Murrow Federal Building
This is a photo I captured from my personal video camera.
It's the Murrow Federal Building in the early 90's, from the south.
The blast was actually on the other side of the building, the north side.

Myriad Botanical Gardens has this structure called the Crystal Bridge. Inside the conservatory are beautiful tropical plants and just a few colorful birds and newts. It is near the corner of Reno and Robinson not far from the National Memorial Center.
This place advertises itself as Vietnamese, Chinese and French, but the menu is basically Chinese/Vietnamese with some French additions. It is located in an Oriental/Asian section of town and has excellent and inexpensive cuisine. The egg drop soup and almond chicken are very good.
Well, the website and visitors guide makes this seem like you're walking into Hawaii as it is. If this is what Hawaii is like, though, count me out! I was actually really, really excited to be here. It was second on my list of things to do after visiting the national memorial.
First of all...parking is a hit or miss. They only have about 20-30 spots and you have to pay $6. We went on a Saturday and no one was in the booth so we actually parked for free which was a plus!
Next, we walked right up to the big clear conservatory. To the left is a gift shop (woohoo!) and to the right is the entrance to the conservatory. Now, I pay for everything (in the US) with my debit card. I went in to pay and the guy gave this "ugh" kinda face and said if I wanted to pay with a card I needed to go to the gift store to buy a ticket?? My aunt, who was with me, paid in cash instead but it still kinda bothered me.
The brochure talks about a 37 foot waterfall. There's no way on this planet that thing is 37 feet. It was a nice photo opportunity. It took us exactly 2 minutes to get from one end to the other. I think I saw 5 butterflies total (the same black and yellow ones). Then there is a staircase taking you further up (about two stories total) that has some interesting flowers on the way. However, I'm sorry it's not worth $6.
You can always walk around the park. We saw a wedding party taking their pictures. They have a few ponds and more plants/flowers. It's pretty quiet, although it is downtown.
Overall, nice photo opportunity but you could do it outdoors for free...
Oh, and the gift shop has nothing to do with conservatory! It has some independent, local art and beanie babies...
:( I hate sounding so negative but spend your money elsewhere.
