Have You Got the Time, Mister?
by mrclay2000
Comparison after comparison can be drawn between Tulsa and Oklahoma City, and for many of our smaller towns for that matter. Both beneficiaries of Oklahoma's oil boom days, both skylines have similar architecture and a comparable composition in their buildings. As in Oklahoma City, the premier building (in its day) offered a clock on its outside corner that told the hour of activity and progress within the city's most illustrious ornament. In Tulsa, this distinction belonged to the Mid-Continent Tower.
Los Cabos Mexican Grill & Cantina
by AlbuqRay
Los Cabos is located in the Jenks' Riverwalk Crossing. It is more a Mexican restaurant than a New Mexican restaurant, but at least it is not Tex-Mex. We sat outside under the misters, which is a little strange since the Tulsa/Jenks area is so humid in the summer. The spray did help a little with the heat. The food was reasonably good and the live entertainment quite good.
Unwind around Swan Lake
by BixB
Swan Lake is a beautiful small body of water in midtown Tulsa maintained by the city parks department as a waterfowl reserve. It is surrounded by gracious older homes (from 1919) and features a large fountain in the middle. A 0.4 mile long sidewak encircles the lake, crossing a portion of the water at the west end and providing a lovely stroll with the children or a significant other. Residents of the lake include a pair of trumpeter swans and many other waterfowl species. Identification panels are in place for those interested in distinguishing the different ducks. Historically, the lake was once part of Orcutt Lake Park, a "trolley park" in operation from 1909-1911 and featuring a dance pavillion, rowboat rentals, midway concessions, a cafe, a covered swimming pool (called a "natatorium"), and a $7,600 roller coaster. Only the lake remains from that festive time.

"What Happens Here Stays Here"
You have to love a town that's up all night, attracts people from not only all walks of life, but countries as well! I wonder if this motto is due to the fact, you get so little sleep, and possibly drink so much - it stays in Vegas cause you can't remember it! :-)
