The Jenks (a suburb of Tulsa) aquarium, actually named "The Oklahoma Aquarium", is the most interesting thing happening in Tulsa right now. It is only a few years old and growing fast! I've heard many aquarium fans refer to it as one of the best new aquariums in the US and it's only growing. Tulsa is a beautiful town, situated on the Arkansas River and surrounded by beautiful green, tree-covered hills that turn brilliant shades of red, yellow, and orange during the fall.

There is a HUGE Mexican restaurant that can seat like 1200 people - I think it's called Casa Lupita, next to it is a restaurant owned by the same man, it's called Crystals (a very large pizza/party place). Both restaurants serve great food and the environment is unforgettable. There are waterfalls in the Mexican restaurant along with various other notable decorations. The most vivid memory is how people sing in line while they are waiting to be served. Everyone sings together, it's alot of fun!
R&R at River Parks

If you are a runner or cyclist visiting Tulsa, then you will definitely want to take advantage of the park that runs for 10 miles along the banks of the Arkansas River from roughly the 11th street bridge to 101st Street. The River Park is also a nice place to just take a stroll or walk the dog on a pretty day. The Pedestrian Bridge at 31st Street (an old railroad bridge converted to foot traffic) offers a unique and pleasant view of downtown and there is plenty of easy parking at that location. The bronze wildlife sculptures placed at intervals along the path are attractive, and kids particularly love the very large statue of the bears and waterfall/fountain at 71st street. There are also nice playgrounds and splash pads at 41st Street and at 76th Street. The River Parks Festival Park on the west bank of the river opposite downtown is the site of the annual Oktoberfest and hosts other events and concerts on the floating stage.
