Live the Life of the Manor Born

Built in 1928 for pioneer Tulsa banker James H. McBirney, the McBirney Mansion is now one of the most luxurious and romantic places to stay in Tulsa.

The large Tudor style brick and stone mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It sits on three acres of wooded grounds in a quiet neighborhood on the edge of downtown, on a ridge overlooking the Arkansas River. The sloping lawns feature walking paths, a pond and a natural spring. The Tulsa Riverpark lies just down the hill and is easily accesible for jogging or bike riding.

Accomodations in the main house include a three room suite and six other private guest rooms. For more seclusion, a 4-room suite is located in the seperate carriage house. All of the rooms are decorated in sumptuous style with fine linens and antiques, but are also equipped with modern in-room computer and communication capabilities.

A full breakfast, with pastries, fruit, and specialty main dishes, is served each morning in the formal dining room and is included in the price of the room. Late afternoon refreshments are served in the music room, library, or sunroom from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. The house also contains a 1600 sq.ft. ballroom and is a popular location for weddings and receptions.

Unique Quality: Historic home; river views from terrace; romantic surroundings.
