We decided to try this resort after reading some of the reviews, but we were very disappointed. It's very stale. It feels like a large hotel more than a resort. It doesn't have much warmth or character, and the grounds and some of the interior really needed some TLC. The staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Our room was extremely basic. The drive to ski took us more than 35 minutes. There are some great resorts that are much closer to the Mt. The river is pretty, but that's about it. We won't be back.
Unique Quality: Nice river view.
We used this as our Bend ski trip hotel for the family. We got a couple of rooms/suites combined together with a sweet fireplace. The price was silly for all our space and a kitchen too. The heated pool kept everyone under control at night and we had great skiing on the mountain which was just about 35 min drive. Could see the mountain from our balcony.
The breakfast buffet meant that I did NOT have to cook in the morning. HalAYLUJA.
Unique Quality: Friendly. Trails. Fishing. Boating on the river
We just did a conference in Bend at this hotel. Lodge feeling was great, as was the river - running along it. The golf looked sweet on their own course.
The price for our rooms was excellent. Recommend it whole heartedly.
Unique Quality: Lodge, easy on families, great for outdoors, golf
Directions: Out of town on a river walk - on Deschutes river
The River House Hotel and Convention Center will be your best bet. It's located on the Deschutes River, offers quick access to downtown, and has a new convention center. Enjoy Bend!
Unique Quality: On the River; Convention Center
Directions: NW Bend, Oregon
Traveling on business, decided to stay at a resort in Bend for the same money as chain hotel. All was good. It was good to be around families as against other guys ike me on business. Free breakfast made my getaway easy.
Was able to get in a round of golf and then a run along the river. Good golf. I even played pretty well. Sweet views of mountains.
I will certainly use this hotel when next back in Bend on business. Near town yet rural feel. I could have walked along the river trail to my meeting. I will next time.
Unique Quality: Good value, good location near town yet rural
Directions: On river not far from town
My son and his family recently relocated to Bend, Oregon. It was recommended by one of my son’s co-workers that while in Bend we stay at the Riverhouse Resort. The moment you walk into the Hotel you just know you are going to have a wonderful stay. The Riverhouse Resort staff is friendly and inviting. Is all of Bend like this? They welcomed us as if we were long lost friends. This wasn’t a one-time thing either, it continued throughout our entire stay.
Our room was lovely and quite large with its own living area. It was nice having a Queen size Murphy bed so that our grandson could stay with us. The wood-burning fireplace and sounds of the Deschutes River outside our sliding balcony door made it difficult to leave.
My husband and I are hiking enthusiasts, and were delighted to have beautiful scenic trails to wander and explore. After a busy day hiking and shopping we returned to the hotel so that the entire family could relax for a bit in the indoor pool and spa.
It was very convenient to have a full hot complimentary Breakfast in the mornings. I didn’t need to worry about cooking or going out to find someplace to eat every morning. It was right there and absolutely delicious. Our Grandson’s favorite was the scrambled eggs.
We were so very happy with our stay, and look forward to returning to Oregon and the Riverhouse Resort when visiting our son and his family again very soon!
I have stayed in many, many resorts and topnotch hotels throughout the United States and none had a more accommodating, friendly and professional staff as what I found at the Riverhouse Resort in Bend Oregon.
I just cannot give the management enough credit for how trained their staff is and how effortlessly they handled our business meeting. I was part of a group of over 50+ attendees and the facility was well suited and prepared to handle our needs as a group as well as individually. The Convention Center is out of this world with all the high tech gadgets you could ask for as well as a well appointed business center.
I spent 3 days here and couldn’t think of a more wonderful place to be on business. My room was phenomenal, clean; bed was out of this world, pillows were just right, plenty of towels and a roomy bathroom as well. I would absolutely rate the Riverhouse Resort one of the best I have visited in terms of service, staff and accommodations. I would definitely go back again for business and might even plan a romantic Ski vacation with the wife in the near future. If you love outdoor activities this is the place you want to be. If you don't stay at the Riverhouse Resort in Bend, you will regret it.
My husband and I are from Portland and we planned a weekend getaway in beautiful Bend, Oregon at the Riverhouse Resort. We have been to Bend many times and the beauty of the area keeps us coming back. We typically stay elsewhere but had heard wonderful reviews about the Riverhouse Resort and thought we would give it a go.
We requested a room overlooking the Deschutes River and were surprised to get exactly what we asked for. If you are avid travelers like we are, you know that is not always the case. The staff was very accommodating and made us feel at home the instant we arrived.
Our room was beautiful and very comfortable with a lovely patio overlooking the river. One of the highlights was leaving our door propped open at night to to hear the sounds of the water.
We love to walk and hike and this is the place to do it. The trails are surrounded by trees and flowers and the hikes are very peaceful. My husband is a weekend golfer and can’t wait to come back and attempt The River’s Edge 18-hole Championship Golf Course.
Breakfast at the Riverhouse Resort was almost more than we could manage. The Crossings had a wonderful breakfast menu and I would highly recommend the Hood River Apple Pancake. It’s not a healthy option by any means but so worth it. We noticed their dinner menu looked outstanding as well and look forward to trying the steakhouse on our next visit.
Our trip was everything we had hoped for. We have a new place to call home when visiting Bend, Oregon and it’s the Riverhouse Resort
