Considering the Ocean Lodge in Cannon Beach?

Walk the beach at Cannon Beach by Ann75
When you visit Cannon Beach town you should definitely wonder down to the beach where you will be able to see Haystack Rock close up. Haystack Rock is a large monolithic basalt sea stack. I have heard it claimed to be the fifth largest in the world, but have not verified that. It is big and very scenic. "The Needles" are the two tall, narrow rocks just to the south of Haystack Rock. Haystack Rock is a dedicated and protected Marine Garden. It rises 235 feet out of the sand and the sea at the low tide line in Cannon Beach Oregon. Haystack Rock and the area around it are abundant with sea life.
Care must be taken to avoid trampling this delicate life. The Rock is also home to many birds, including tufted puffins, gulls, and cormorants. Volunteer interpreters and protectors of the Rock and the life that it supports are on the beach during morning low tides during the summer.
