Southern Oregon
The city of Klamath Falls is in beautiful southern Oregon. I was told by the locals that there was a small falls, which is the city's namesake, but damming has all but eliminated it. The area was huge in the logging industry but that has died down in past twenty years.
Klamath Falls is a small community of about 20 thousand. If you like the outdoors and small town life this is the place for you. There are some great outdoor activites readily available like fishing, kayaking, hiking and skiing. See the webpage below.

We were working at the Air National Guard base and this was my first trip to Oregon. The weather here was great, very mild, lows in the 40's highs in the low 70's. This part of Oregon doesn't get much rain so it is pretty dry with no humidity. I was taken back by Oregon's natural beauty and suprised by how mountainous and volcanic it is.
There is a wonderful mural downtown depicting this photo of the railroad coming to Klamath Falls. I wonder who the guy with his hands on his hips thinks he is?
