But a town resting on a shore of the ocean.... Beautiful beach as well as the road fron the south of Oregon toward Lincoln city.
I was lucky to stay in a motel with my window overlooking the ocean. I have to tell you - it is amazing.... (not the motel, though - the ocean:)
It was our last stop on a coast before we went to Portland to fly back to New York
We love to camp and we love the beach but it gets a bit cold 9 monthes out of the year so we rent yurts. These are modeled after mongolian huts and they are great.
Yurts sleep 5 people comfortably. The bunk sleeps 3. 2 down 1up and the futon flattens out to sleep 2 more. They also have heaters. They rent for about $29 a night. They have little sky light in the roof so you can see the elements as they happen.
The yurts have little porches on the front and they even have a couple handicap acs ones with wheelchair ramps. You still have to cook outside in the pit and do your nature calls in the campground restroom but it is still nice.
