Ontario is about as pitiful a place in the Oregon eastern desert as one can find, but it's also off I-84 and within reach of some great natural recreation lakes and rivers. The Snake River itself goes right through town. This Super-8 Motel is located within a cluster of two star hotels, and is probably the best bargain. The room I had was clean and spacious, the swimming pool and spa worthwhile, and the breakfast typical. For an overnight stay, this is a decent place, if not luxurious, particularly on the outside, which is all parking lot and no landscaping. It's a popular place for both families and professionals traveling through.
