More about Craftsman Bed and Breakfast
Wow, Mike and Laura really took care of us. Every time you came downstairs they would come out to greet us. Very hospitable and made us feel very welcome. The place was immaculate, the room was gorgeous, and being near the beach was another plus. They know all about their little town and are very active in it, so they can offer advice about where to go for fun or dinner. Breakfast was quite delicious, we were there on a savory morning and woke up to the smell of cooking bacon. Yum!
I stayed at the Craftsman B&B as part of a quick trip down the Oregon coast. I chose the Craftsman for its proximity to the Three Cape Loop, and because of its early 20th century design/decor. The location made it very easy to make the most of the short time spent in the area. After late afternoon check-in, I walked to an outstanding restaurant (Delicate Palate), then walked to the scenic beach to burn off some of my newly-acquired calories. Returning to the B&B, the bed (and room) were very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommended.
Great Place to Relax
We enjoyed our stay. The location of the inn is an easy walk to the local restaurants and the beautiful dune beach. The hot tub was easy to operate, and the breakfast was wonderfully decadent.
The Friendly B&B
The Craftsman B&B was a great place to stay and relax. The owners were friendly, helpful and made us feel extremely welcome. The rooms were clean, tidy and a great size. The renovation work that they have done to the B&B is fantastic! The B&B is close to a great sandy beach with some magnificent views. We would highly recommend the Craftsman. We loved all the little extras they provided for us, especially the cookies!!
Great for cyclists
Mike and Laurie both greeted us and helped take our bikes (we had been riding all day). They were friendly and helped us find a restaurant. Mike also helped show us to the hot tub even though it was late. The room was comfortable and elegant (as was the whole house) and breakfast was fantastic. Overall, it was a great experience.
We had company from Southern California and wanted them to see the Oregon wine country and coast. B&B's can be a risk because you don't know what you're going to find once you're there. Well, the Craftsman was all the website said and more. Mike is a great host, craftsman and chef! Our breakfast was one of the best we've ever had at a B&B. Banana's Foster French Toast. Yummy. He even went out of the way to serve my husband and I who are vegetarian, veggie sausage. The house is true to the craftsman style. Simply elegant! We will definitely be back next time we're in the area. Thanks for a great stay.
No detail is missed!
Our experience at the Craftsman was consistent with other guests who posted on Trip Advisor which is how we located it too. The house and rooms are beatifully appointed (Mike says no doilies or wicker!) and comfortable, and the proprietors are not only commited to the comfort of the house, but also provide concierge services. Breakfast is just as reported---yummy! The house is in a convenient location to get to the many sights of the OR coast which is how we happened to stay there. When we left, we got brownies-to-go, a nice touch! We recommend it and would visit again.
Home Away from Home
We had a wonderful time at the Craftsman--our room was comfortable, clean, and beautiful. Mike is an excellent host who made us feel at home by doing everything from giving us great hiking tips to providing towels and flip flops for the hot tub. We will definitely return.
Nice House, great food and no problems
Found this B&B via Google Maps and telephone and had a great one night stay for our 20th. The home is nicely restored and very clean. Some nice extra touches like a hand painted mural in the living room (see photo). The host family and dog are wonderful and have great information and stories to share. There are some galleries and other shops within walking distance and there is a nice Presbyterian Church as a neighbor. The breakfast is outstanding, for either a vegetarian or not, and includes coffee made to order right at the table. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Very Enjoyable Experience
We had a wonderful stay at the Craftsman B&B. The owners were very accomodating, the room was clean and comfortable. They served a marvelous breakfast, and the coffee was plentiful and superb. Highly recomend them to others. The only problem was finding them . Google maps had their location incorrectly placed, but we were close and a phone call soon got us straightened out.
