Hi,
this appears to be a silly posting, and not a real travel question.
Explain: Where is Scarecrow Farm?

Scarecrow Farms does exist - it's on Sauvie Island.

They have a haunted MAiZe during the Halloween season. You should look at Trimet.org or contact them about going out there if you don't have a car.

Actually, the MAiZE is at The Pumpkin Patch, not Scarecrow Farms..

You may be in luck after all if still interested, depending on time, date, intentions, and circumstances. By the sheerest dumb luck I happened to be in St. Johns earlier this evening, shopping for work clothes at Jower's before they close their doors tomorrow for the last time ever. On leaving the store I spotted almost immediatedly a townbound #17 Trimet bus. It was townbound, but first, to my surprise, it went to Linnton, a strip town on the west bank of the Willamette. Any bus that goes to Linnton, not all do, also goes to Sauvie Island. No turnaround along the Linnton strip.
None go further then the old Monkey Wards store (Montogomery Park) on Sunday. On Saturday St. Johns buses run about a half hour apart. St. Johns/Linnton buses are about an hour apart, but it should be easy to kill a half hour anywhere along N. Lombard street, including a small nearby library, Goodwill, cafe's, etc.
Weekday schedules are 15/30 most of the day. Contact www.trimet.org to confirm (503-238-5811).
If you have already purchased Trimet tickets online, walk directly south on 6th Avenue after leaving Union Station until reaching a #17 Trimet bus stop/shelter. If not, go to my homepage for detailed instructions on how to get to Pioneer Courthouse Square ticket office.
I know nothing about Maize, but the bus driver told me there are two pumpkin patches where children are encouraged to pick their own pumpkins, one within a half mile or so of the fairly long Sauvie Trimet turnaround.
Travel Tips for Portland
Caminar en el centro de la...
by astridcontre
10 Digit Dialing
by TashieKitten
There's a new area code in town kids: 971. It hasn't obliterated good ol' 503 but now there are two in town soooooo...when you dial a phone number you need all 10 digits!
To recap:
the Portland Metro Area has 2 area codes: 503 and 971.
The rest of Oregon uses the 541 area code.
Blackberries for everyone: Caution may be poisoned
by glabah
Blackberries are everywhere in the Portland area, and to a lesser extent all over the northwest. The most common type was introduced and is now considered an invasive species because they take over just about any open space and to a lesser extent forest land.
Therefore, you can pretty much find them everywhere. Most commonly they are around in late summer, but the exact season depends a lot on the amount of rain and average temperatures during the year.
The vines are easy to spot: they are the long thorny vines that stick out of just about any pile of weeds and brush in wild lands around Portland.
However, if they are beside the roads it is quite possible that they have been shot with any number of assorted poisons by the highway department to kill them. You do not want to eat those, unless you are certain that they have not been sprayed recently.
Trail Blazers
by TashieKitten
The Trail Blazers can be seen at the Rose Garden. You can park there, but I would take MAX (train) to the Rose Garden because it stops right across the street. Oh, and if you park downtown and take MAX across, it's free (it's part of the "fareless square".)
Forest Park
by yonsei
I'm not sure where the main entrance to Forest Park is -- I have a friend who lives next to it and my entrance is her backyard. Anyway, this is the largest urban wilderness park in America, and despite the annoying horns and whistles that come from the train tracks along the river it still makes good hiking and exploring.
