Inn of the Four Winds

Overpriced & Deceiving!

Visit the website and take a look at the picture. I love the way some hotels choose to advertise themselves. The pictures and the way they took the pictures from the beach make the inn seem like it is by itself or secluded. They mention the promenade but when you get there the promenade is right below your balcony with people walking by all day and all night, and the inn is surround by other houses and little motels.
Overall the inn was very nice inside, clean, and if I recall we had a gas fireplace because it does get cold at night. We had a balcony with a view of the ocean which was a plus and I recommend it, I mean if you are going to travel you might as well try to have the best views as long as the price isn't too outrageous.
If I remember correctly our room had a small kitchen/mini bar area with a coffeemaker, sink, microwave and small refrigerator. They provide you with good coffee, not the cheap stuff. It is about a 10-15 minute walk down the promenade to get to the "main" street where you will find several different restaurants, tourist shops and a few pubs.
Overall I did enjoy our hotel room, I just did not like how they present the hotel in their brochures and on their web site. Also, you can't smoke on the balcony, Seaside is one of those American towns where they believe clean air is for everyone and they are really anti-smoking.....but it is ok for them to burn their bon fires on the beach and drive their over sized stinky SUV's...give me a break people.

Unique Quality: Gas fireplace in room and good coffee in room. The balcony with the ocean view is a must.
