Royale Motel: Comfortable, Inexpensive Lodging
We spent the night here on May 15 and May 16. The cost was less than half of what the Comfort Inn just across the street from the Royale Motel was charging for the same room. The people who managed the motel were very nice, very accommodating, very informative.
Just a few short blocks from the ocean.

Edgewater Inn: A nice place to stay
We have stayed at the Edgewater in Seaside many times. The rooms are large with full kitchens and have great balcony's overlooking the ocean. For a cheaper stay, they have little cabins behind the main hotel that are about half the price...no view, but you can walk to the front of the hotel and be right on the ocean.
Full Kitchens, T.V & VCR with free movie rentals, free popcorn, free coffee and tea each day. Located right on the ocean near the main downtown strip of Seaside.

Seaside International Youth Hostel
First it is very friendly. You are being greeted personnally by the person attending the desk and they genuinly want to make you feel at ease and want to help. Everything is clean and pleasant.
There is a river in the back and you can rent canoes and kayaks from the hostel. BBQ available. Fire pit for people wanting to keep warm or even play a little guitar for fellow hostellers. Expresso bar and internet access. If you are lucky, one of the hostel workers will bake some corn bread and offer a piece to everybody... Yummmm!
