Down MAIN STREET everyone drives to the BEACH TURNABOUT. Mostly it's people just cruisin, check out each other and the pedestrians checking out the cars and vice versa. Almost everyone takes their picture where the street, dead ends at the beach and makes your vehicle pull a 360 turn about. Their are some cocrete statues a city plaque and a concrete fence and some benches where everyone poses for a picture. We decided to pose like Charlie's Angels, how bout you?

For last minute trips call Seaside ZChamber of Commerce. They actually keep track of which hotels have openings and which hotel members have the cheapest rates. We were able to find hotels starting under $50 night by contacting the chamber for their most affordable hotel members phone numbers.

What a Beautiful Little Seaside / Beach Community!

"Seaside Oregon"

We stopped in Seaside for the evening and to spend the night. There is a neat promenade that strolls along the beach that you can walk that takes you right into the little town area where you can eat and do some shopping. The main center of the town gets a little busy, but we were there during the summer months so go figure. A large variety of hotels and small motel like places dot along the beach along with cute little beach houses with white picket fences, adorable!!

This picture is the view from our hotel balcony in seaside. As you can see right below it is the promenade where you can walk along the line of hotels and houses and get to various restaurants and shops. The promenade is quite long actually. You can rent bikes somewhere (there were people on those "peddle pusher" beach bikes) riding up and down the promenade and they looked like they were having fun. In the evenings people would bring fire wood onto the beach and have beach fires!
