We were so tired. We had read good reviews of other Shilo Inns. We couldn't believe how much this place lied.
They advertised their rooms as being "newly remodeled". The only apparent remodeling was dark red paint on some walls and new carpeting. Everything else was old.
Also, they said all their rooms are nonsmoking. That, apparently, just means there is a nonsmoking sign on each door. The room (we specifically required a NONsmoking room) reeked of smoke, old stale smoke plus fresh smoke.
Though they didn't advertise clean rooms, one expects a certain basic standard of cleanliness. There was black mold on the shower curtain, scum in the shower I could actually rub off with a washcloth and water, and a sharp stink in the bedding.
Early in the morning, we were awakened by constant industrial clanging. I don't know what it was, but it sounded like a gold stamping mill.
I would not recommend this motel to ANYONE.
