The Kah Nee Tah Resort is the only place around. The resort had pretty nice rooms: neat, large beds, but very small bathrooms. Suites have jaccuzis etc. You can also stay the night in one of their teepees. I didn't go for that option, I am guessing they are large, tourist oriented, fiberglass things. I understand that there are large fireplaces within them too.
Unique Quality: Large Pool, situated in a very scenic area of the desert, great hiking, biking, kayaking, horseback riding, etc, etc, etc.
go hiking and visit Columbia River Gorge which has plenty of hiking trails with gorgeous waterfalls Prineville Reservoir - boating, tubing, water skiing
Lake Billy Chinook - boating, tubing, water skiing
Saddle Mountain - Hiking, watching sunset at the top of the mountain
Oneonta Falls - Columbia River Gorge
Kah-nee-ta - Indian Reservation
Mt. Hood
and of course the beautiful coast
