In Cancun one of my favorite restaurants is called La Dolce Vita, it is located on the strip in the Hotel Zone.
It is overlooking the lagoon which is very picturesque. They are known for their Italian entrees. One of my favorite items in this restaurant is how they cook the shrimp.

Silver Springs Park

Silver Springs is a mixture between Wild Park and Amusement Park.

The name comes from the springs that serve the Silver River.
The water is very clear. On the ground of the lake you can see silver snail shells.

The forest here looks like a rain forest, that is why they made some of the "Tarzan" films with Jonny Weissmüller here.
And in the water there are still some statues - leftovers from the film "Moonraker", James Bond. They also made the film "The creature from the Black Lagoon".

Next to the wonderful landscape you can have glassbottom boat trips, a jungle voyage, Visit the snake house or bird exhibits and Doolittle Petting Park....

One word to the website: It is very colorful and not really what I expected. But it is the same park I visited in 1991.

Popular San Diego Zoo

If your family is visiting San Diego, don't miss the ever popular and widely-acclaimed San Diego Zoo. I call it a haven for lazy people as you have a choice of double decker buses, walkways, skyfari aerial tram to help you explore this huge zoo! We did get on the bus for a while but nothing beats walking around to see the exhibits more closely. However, the buses seem to be a danger to many zoo visitors as you never know where they will stop! So be cautious of these vehicles!
