Nice place

Clean, quiet motel. A little too far from the center of town to walk, but we appreciated the fact that it was in a quiet area. Nice pool and the staff was very helpful. There is a very nice restaurant on the same property. We will definitely stay there if we return to Gettysburg.
Good Family Choice

We stayed here for one night on August 1, 2005 in the largest suite, which turned out to be a small house. My in-laws had the bedroom and bathroom upstairs, we had the bedroom and bathroom downstairs, and my children slept in the living room on the sofabed and in a portacrib which the hotel supplied (for an additional $3). The bathroom downstairs was huge, with a large whirlpool bathtub. The water pressure in the shower, however, was abysmal. As a whole, the suite was large, clean and attractive, although hardly luxurious, and the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. Because the house was over 150 years old, there were plenty of small cupboards for the kids to explore.
The pool at the hotel is small, but clean, with lots of lounge chairs. The small museum at the hotel, free to guests, is actually quite good. It is located in a house that literally was General Lee's headquarters during the battle of Gettysburg.
I would definitely recommend this suite for families visiting Gettysburg -- although I cannot speak to the regular guest rooms.
Great Location

Stayed at the Quality Inn General Lee's Headquarters for 3 nights in August. We stayed in the Dustman Suite which was quite spacious. We had a king bed and our son slept on the sofa bed. There was a small kitchen area with microwave and refrigerator which was very helpful. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. Only complaint is the a/c was very noisy. The pool is small but adequate and very clean. The location is great...about 3/4 of a mile from downtown so it is much less hectic. The battlefield behind the hotel is beautiful with a great view. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gettysburg.

My wife and I stayed there in early September for our wedding anniversary. We took a trip to Gettysburg to see the battlefield and get a greater appriciation of the battle. We stayed one night at the hotel and it was wonderful. The staff was nice, the place was clean and the room was perfect. I give an A+
Enjoyable stay!

Really enjoyed our stay at this inn. The rooms were larger than the newer cookie-cutter hotel/motels being built today and the setting is quiet and quaint, overlooking a section of the battlefield. All rooms are on one floor, with parking out front (motel-style). The room was very clean, had a nice large bathroom with tub/shower and large mirror. Our room was equipped with hairdryer, ironing board and iron. Complimentary continental breakfast was served and was adequate for our needs.
Free admission to the General Lee's HQ Museum, which is located right in front of the property, was included for guests of this hotel. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this motel.
Enjoyed my stay at the Quality Inn.....

I had a most enjoyable stay at the Quality Inn. Rooms were clean and smelled fresh and clean. The staff went the extra mile to help and answer my questions and queries. Charming Brew Pub and Restaurant next door to Inn. The Inn is located just seconds from the McPhersons Ridge and the start of the battle. Nice litte museum on-site as well. Much nicer than most down in the Historic section of Gettysburg

The Quality Inn at General Lee's was a nice clean place to stay. It is not a large glamorous hotel, but for the cost it was great!
The staff was freindly. The rooms were a nice size.
The continental breakfast was also a nice touch.
We would stay again.

We were delighted with the service, cleanliness and location of General Lee's. Making reservations over the phone was effortless. The staff was kind and courteous in addition to being very helpful in pointing us in the right direction. The location was out of the hub of town which made it quiet with less traffic. We also liked the idea of being right on the battlefield! We took advantage of watching the sunrise over the fields on Thanksgiving morning which was just beautiful. I would highly recommend this property without hesitation.
