Full of laughs when it's a school field trip
by CandyBear
I really liked the whole trip of Harrisburg. I went with my school, it was a 3hour driver there which was fun because I got to see a lot of cool things and just hang out with my fellow students. My fondest memory would be the bus ride, for three hours I sat on the bus chillin with my fellow students, we joked around talked, just had a lot of fun, On the way down we would make signals at the truckers who were driving on the rode to hunk there horms, joke around with one another and just laugh are way there.
State Capitol Building
by Ewingjr98
The State Capitol Building in downtown Harrisburg is home to the offices of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Pennsylvania General Assembly and chambers for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. The domed roof is said to have been inspired by St Peters Basilica in Rome.
Pennsylvania's original state capital was in Philadelphia, but was moved to Harrisburg in 1812. The first capitol building was completed in 1822, but destroyed by fire on February 2, 1897. The present capitol building was constructed from 1898 to 1906, and the dedication ceremony was attended by President Theodore Roosevelt.
Harrisburg: A city on the upswing.
by hochbeam
I admit some reluctance when my job brought me to Harrisburg, far from the ocean, off the Northeast corridor, and far from my family. But this little city can grow on you. The Harrisburg area is divided by the Susqehanna river, which happens to be on my doorstep. My neigbors, who work for the Democratic have taught me to refer to the West Shore as the "White Shore" with some derision. The East Shore, Harrisburg proper, has a nicely diverse, vibrant Midtown neighborhood which I call home.
