Holiday Inn and conference center HArrisburg west: Could be better for the money .
This hotel is only a few miles from the farm show we were attending for the weekend. After searching booking web sites. we booked the room on the hotels web site which gave the best price for a king bed and non smoking at a rate of $69.00 per night. The room was very smoky smelling even though it was non smoking but otherwise it was a nice room. The staff was friendly and very helpful with directions and anything needed. I would recommend this hotel for around that price if you pay more it may not be worth it.
One of the better qualities of the hotel is the indoor pool area of which wasn't available to use because of repairs. There is a huge atrium over the pool area with a small bar that used to be the hot tub, take note, the website says there is a hot tub but there isn't.
There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel complex that is and British style pub with pub style meals and beer that are good tasting at a reasonable price. A short walk down the driveway of the hotel is a Bob Evans and an Eat & Park spelled backwards spells Tae & Krap both are good place to eat as well.

Wingate Inn: Nice Clean Place w/Breakfast
Spent one night here to attend a wedding nearby. Brides family arranged for block of rooms for out of town visitors at a group rate of $69 a night. Was surprised to see an expanded contenental breakfast offered as part of the room rate.

Again...my house: My House
I pretty much stay here every night so I feel almost obligated to say its accomodations are top notch.
Beds are comfy and the location is prime. Looks out to the Capitol building (which truly is magnificent) on one side and two of the oldest and biggest (not to mention most important) churches in Harrisburg.
The rate is $free a night...unless my roomate asks you to buy him a drink.
So if you think you'll ever find yourself traveling through good ol harrisburg let me know, you got a place to stay.
*disclaimer (spa and foot massages not included)
Its free and you get to meet some locals...sort of, not really from here but enjoy it.

I didn't stay at a hotal because I was only there for one day, I slept on the school bus for an hour, It was kinda noisy and hard to sleep cause of all the students but still was a good snoze at least I was in the compeny of friends.
Didn't have to worry about a bill, it was free and I was around my fellow students.
