It is also located right next to Living Treasures animal Park. In fact the LT gift shop is where the "front desk" is located.
You can get a discount if you have an AAA card.

The hotel has approximately 8 rooms. When we went in May we were the only ones staying here.
There is only one room that has it's own bathroom with shower, this one is a little more expensive (about $10 more) and is spacious with a queen sized bed. Otherwise the other rooms either have a half bath or have a shared bathroom in the hallway. (with the half bath you have to use the hallway bathroom to shower) All are very reasonably priced about $40-$50 a night.
They do not serve breakfast, however. You will have to travel a little ways to get to a diner. we are quite familiar with the area and went to a place in Dushore that we go to when we are camping nearby.
The Rickett's Glen Hotel is primarily known for it's restaurant, the food is excellent! There is also a bar here, but not to worry, even though it's open until 2, you don't hear a thing in your room.
I loved standing on the back porch at night to hear the perfect sound of nothing but frogs on the nearby lake, and waking up early to watch the sunrise over Beaver Pond.

After a long day of driving, we decided to stay in Washington, PA and chose the DAYS INN as it was posted in the Hotel Travel Coupon Book. It was a good location and a good price -- $40.00 plus tax.
The room was clean and spacious, with a mini-fridge and micowave. Also high speed wireless internet is available for a fee.

They mostly have just a toilet and a fireplace, but i found that sufficient for most nights when touring and i think it's great that such options excist in Pennsylvania as it makes the trip more affordable and gives you a more real experience with nature. This part of Fayette County has a strange blend of very ritzy resorts and almost run-down motels. If you're not too fussy you'll find what you need. One of the nicer places is The Summit Inn Resort, in Farmington, although it's a little more costly than others. Philadelphia's Hotel Windsor is located right in the middle of things. About 10 blocks walk from either the Museum District, or the Historical area, depending on which direction you go. The room was spacious with 2 double beds, a kichen and 2 walk in closets. Seemed like a good place to stay if you neede to be in Philadelphia on business for awhile, or just simply if you have a LOT of luggage.
It did the job for us, though we only utilized the kitchen for the sake of making tea and coffee in the morning.
The only complaint was that Lou found the bed to be on a slant, with his feet higher than his head. Not the best nights sleep we ever had.
The best thing about this hotel was the rooftop pool. Unfortunately it was not open yet, have to wait for summer for that. We were still able to go to the roof and check out the city views at night. Just beautiful!

I found the Weiler Mansion B/B while searching the hinterlands around State College looking for a room for a couple of nights during a football weekend at Penn State. The house dates back to the early 1800’s and turned out to be an excellent alternative to the run-of-the-mill motels in State College that grossly inflate their prices on football weekends - on the order of five times higher! Sitting up on the west edge of Jack’s Mountain, the house overlooks the Big Valley - also known as the Kishacoquillas or Kish Valley. The valley is an anticlinal valley lying between Jack’s Mountain and Stone Mountain and is home to several fairly large groups - at least five separate orders - of Old Order Amish.
Rooms inside the house are quite large and the breakfasts that Claudia cooks up are quite the treat. There were eggs, sausages, ham, pies - including the traditional Pennsylvania Dutch Shoofly Pie - among other treats to be seen. The B/B is a working farm and as you drive up, the cows gather about expecting you to feed them. A wonderful front porch full of rockers allow you to sit back and take in the whole pastoral Big Valley scene. Belleville is the closest town - about five miles north where there is a large weekly farmers’ market on Wednesdays that is very popular - and if you are heading to State College, it is about a half hour and two mountains to the north.
Shoofly Pie, Amish neighbors, front porch rockers, friendly cows and wonderful hosts.
