I recently visited family who moved to Kennett Square, a lovely rural suburb of Philadelphia, close to the Delaware border where my brother in law works. My brother in law is still marveling over the deer and the groundhogs that frequent his backyard, I'm just waiting for when he plants next spring and the deer start munching on his plants to see what he thinks then ;-)
The highlight of my visit there was a visit to the Longwood Gardens with fellow Vter Julie (travelmad478) with a visit afterwards to a local Mexican place for lunch followed by some delicious Mexican ice cream
Longwood Gardens at Christmas
"A Christmas Wonderland"
Longwood Gardens is a premier hortiicultural display whose plants become a wonderous Christmas display of lights through the month of December each year. Some of the fountains and waterfalls are also lighted with seasonal music played every few minutes after 5PM daily.
"The Entrance"
This building is where tickets are sold for your self guided tour of this garden. There is a store inside with maps and programs. Tickets for adults are $15 and the light show is daily in December 5PM until 9PM.
