the Fulton Steamboat Inn made our stay a very pleasant, they have wonderful atmosphere at the hotel and the outside grounds are very inviting.
we will be sure to go back again and will let our friends know of the Fulton Steam Boat Inn, the place with character and charm..
We spent a Saturday night at the Fulton Steamboat Inn, during a Day out with Thomas (Thomas the Tank Engine), weekend. The event took place at the Strasburg Railroad, just a short drive away. We booked a Queen/Bunkbed room, which the kids really loved. Aside from a slight musty smell, the room was clean and spacious. The pool, albeit smal was quite enjoyable, and not extremely crowded. As someone else had posted, avoid the parking lot on the lobby side, as the birds create quite mess, (especially under the trees). I saw a few cars that were covered in feathers and bird poop. We definitely will stay at this hotel again.
we stayed at the fulton steamboat inn for 2 nights in mid-september. we found the hotel to be very nice.
we really have no complaints about the room-it was clean, spacious,quiet and everything was in good working order. our room on the 3rd floor "sun deck" had a fridge and microwave and whirlpool bathtub. it was very nicely appointed and decorated very simply but elegantly. the hotel itself was very clean,generally sophisticated and fairly modern. the only problem this hotel has is in the basement area game room which was very,very warm. very hard to stay down there for more than one hour. also the pool table in this area was missing its cue ball which was annoying. we asked at the front desk and they said it was missing and they did not have a replacement.

level which was small but nice.
vending areas were on every floor and small gym was on 3rd floor and another small game area was on 2nd floor.
we would warn future guests away from the hotel restaurant which was pricey and we found the breakfast we had there to be very mediocre. after writing to management about the food quality we were informed that this restaurant is managed independently of the hotel but will be changing management in november of 2007. hopefully there will be some improvements in the food quality at that time. all in all a very good experience. hotel staff were nice enough,maid service good and we thought we got a good value for our money. we paid about 121.00 per weekend night after our aaa discount.
We enjoyed our stay at the Fulton very much! The front desk clerks, gift shop cashier, and waitress at the restaurant were all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Sun Deck King. It was very clean and comfortable. There is a mini-golf course right across the street. As frequent visitors to the Lancaster area, we've stayed at many hotels and motels, and this is one of our favorites.
The only thing is that if you want to be located in the middle of Amish farmland, this hotel is more near outlets and the highway. It's only a few minutes from farms, but when you look out from your balcony you only see a mini golf course.
arrived well before check-in time,altho had to wait for a while, they processed paperwork right away so that when room was ready I could go in right away. all personnel were very friendly, room was better than expected, indoor pool was clean & refreshing,waitstaff & food at their restaurant better than good
The Steamboat Inn was a great place to stay. The minute you walk in you feel like you are really onboard a steamboat. What a wonderful atmosphere. It is so clean and what an attentive staff. It is a great place for children and if it happens to rain, stay inside and swim in the indoor pool or just go in the whirlpool. We will definitely be staying here from now on. We highly recommend the Steamboat Inn.
We stayed at this unique inn shaped like a steamboat on our recent visit to Lancaster county. This Victorian styled hotel is centrally located to tourist attractions and shopping outlets. Our room was comfortable and clean and included an extra sink and vanity outside the bathroom. With our AAA discount, the room was a great price for the comfortable room provided. My only negative comment would be that our car was covered with bird droppings and feathers the next morning. I would suggest that quests avoid parking in the front lot near the trees. Overall we would definitely recommend the Steamboat Inn.
I booked this hotel for our son's Day out WIth Thomas stay in Lancaster so we could go to Dutch Wonderland the next day. We LOVED IT! My husband travels for a living and is Diamond with Hilton and Platinum with Marriott so we are used to staying in only 5-star hotels with tons of free uogrades. At $113 per night, I was nervous about what we would find, but this hotel did not disappoint.
It was clean, neat, nicely decorated, and the rooms were a great size. The beds were very comfortable. Check-in and check-out took 2 minutes. There were 2 sinks (1 in the bathroom and 1 just outside in the hallway area with a mirror) which meant I could get ready while my husband was in the shower. More importantly, the location was perfect- 10 minutes from Thomas/Strasberg Rail, 5 minutes from Dutch Wonderland and the Tanger Outlets, few minutes to Ed's buggy rides, Amish Village, and Hershey Farm, and across the street (walking distance) from the Rockvale Outlets. BUT, best of all the price was unbeatable for what you get. I will definitely stay here again!
We had a very nice time there and really enjoyed ourselves. The accommodations were great and we would definitely come back there again. It is also very kid friendly which was important to us. The staff was so friendly and helpful. You should definitely consider staying here I think you'll be happy.
We really enjoyed our stay. My 4 year old absolutely loved the pool and playground. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was friendly. We'll try to stay again when we're back in town!
