Red Roof Inn Lancaster

red roof failed us

I was there with a dog show which was across teh street at teh Lancaster Host. we stayed at the red Roof the prior year. We made reservations a year in advance for this year. We asked for a ground floor.
On arrival we were told the ground floor costs like 25 more a night FARCE!
after arrival the next day we were ACOSTED by the hotel manager as if we were responsible for all the guests in the hotel that were at the dog showlll NOT US!
we were threaten with 'all dog people will be removed form hotel tonight if I can get a meeting with all you! We are not a together group we are individuals and I am not responsilbe for anyone but me. He was irate and rude! He made me late for my morning show when I said contact the show across teh street or leave notes inteh peoples rooms.
every day it was something new everyone was doing wrong .... stress on top of stress...
he kept changing his own rules, policies and threatening to kick everyone out
he never put notes in the rooms or kicked anyone out but he made our stay far too mentally draining. We will not stay there again. There were approximately 30 of his rooms taken by these so called dog show people....he could have been much nicer to all of us but refused to be even civil. He brought too much stress to my vacation and made my stay unplsant.
We had to 'rekey' our room keys almost every day for one reason or anohter. its not fun to come home and have to go to the office to get your key redone to get in your room night after night. They changed towels daily but did not clean anything else in the room, they were very slack on room service and on trash pickup all aorund the grounds. I would not recommend this hotel.

Unique Quality: poor management and poorer customer service...
