The Perfect Place in the perfect place

We love this place and have been coming here for years. It is located in the small, sleepy town of Lampeter Pa a few miles off Lincoln Highway and on a road that leads into Strasburg. The home is from the early 20th century and was built by an old Lancaster family, the Herrs. I believe a Doctor and his family lived in the house from around 1913 or so.

An Australian couple made the brick house a B&B more than a decade ago and the presetn owners bought the home from another very nice young couple just last fall. Lynn and Bob Griffin are very warm and friendly northern Viginia transplants and are great hosts - and breakfast chefs, too.

All suites and rooms include private baths, mini refrigerators, cable TV, fireplaces, wireless internet access, queen canopies or king beds, whirlpool bath tubs or hot tubs and air conditioning

Unique Quality: Lynn and Bob are currently redoing parts of the B&B, which includes about four rooms within the main house and a really nice suite attached to a rear building. All but one of the rooms have a hot tub or Jacuzzi and we love that feature.

The house has a very nice parlor where all the guests seem to end up meeting and catching up on the usual topics du jour such as "where are you folks from? How long did it take you to get here? What roads did you take? What did you do today? and What will you be doing tomorrow?" Lynn and Bob provide bottles of wine, beer and soda, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and fresh baked cookies and brownies for the friendly conversation. There is a very nice wrap around porch for continuing the get to know sessions out of doors.

Breakfast is to die for. They don't skimp on food. It is tastefuly done and good does it taste!

Amish Dining with a local family, in their home, can be arranged with some notice.

The service is great. You are treated like family.
