A little let down

I've stayed here a few times before and had a better experience. The service is pretty good and the location is excellent. My room this time (including bathroom) was on the small side. It was a double and previous nights were spent in kings. I also ventured into their bar this trip and found the prices to be a little on the pricey side even for a hotel bar. I'll give it another shot though.
Had a wonderful stay!

Just got back from a two night stay in Philly at the Doubletree. I have to say, I can't wait to go back and stay there again!
The staff was uniformly pleasant and helpful, answering any questions that happened to come up during our stay.
We went on one of the packages from GoPhila, so parking was included in our very reasonable rate of $87/ night. Our room was pleasant, and had a beautiful view of the Avenue of the Arts. We could look down the street straight to City Hall--Especially lovely at night, with the clock face alight. The two restaurants, Standing O and the Academy Cafe had good, reasonably priced food. My seafood ceasar salad was piled with a much larger scoop of crab meat than I'd expected for the $11 price tag.
The pool is on the small side, but we still enjoyed relaxing after a long day of sightseeing in it.
Of special interest to my partner and I, the city's one lesbian bar, Sisters, is about a block away, as is one of the gay bars. It was a lovely thing not to have to worry about driving or hailing a cab after a night of dancing.
The only thing I would love to see the hotel improve upon in the next few years is to add high-speed internet access to the rooms. There is a business center on the third floor, but it was usually busy, and the internet connection was slower and less reliable than my dial-up.
Aside from that, can't wait til the next Philly trip at the Doubletree.

I'll be back. Staff was great. Stayed for the holiday weekend and got a great rate through travelhero.com (avg ~$100/night including tax and parking). Location is great. You can get on the Phlash trolley two blocks north of the hotel. Rittenhouse is close, so you can eat and shop close by. It's convenient off I-95. I just parked there the weekend, got on the Phlash and also did walking.
