Is there abus from new york city (manhatten) to the phila intrnl airport?
Re: transportation

I don't know of any direct buses from Manhattan to PHL. You have two options: (1) take the train: Amtrak from Penn Station in NY to 30th St. Station in Philadelphia, and then the SEPTA R1 train, which goes to PHL. (2) Megabus also goes from Penn Station to 30th St. Station, where you can pick up the R1.
The Megabus/SEPTA trip will be cheap, but will also take an hour longer than using Amtrak.

actually there are 2 options with using rail
1.) aforementioned Amtrak
2.) NJ Transit + SEPTA with the connection being made in Trenton

Yes, I was thinking of suggesting the NJT/SEPTA option, but it is both more expensive and slower than Megabus, so I figured I wouldn't bother complicating the issue.

Lots of options getting from NYC to Philly. But really only one low cost way from Center city Philly to the airport, The "Airport Line" formerly known as the R 1. Catch it at the 30th street staion. Amtrak, Septa and NJ Transit all use this station. The Airport line no longer travels between the airport and Trenton, it now goes only to Glenside, PA
Travel Tips for Philadelphia
Typical street in the 'Federal' area
by el_ruso
The eastern part of the city was built when Philly was the US capital, in the first years of the XIX century. Much of this area has been painstakingly restored, and is incredible to walk. Many streets have cobblestones, and most are lined by beautiful streets. This area is also very clean and safe (just beware of many crazy drivers). This city offers the benefits of a large metropolis, but does not overwhelm like NYC.
Philadelphia's my home...

I think Philadelphia's historic sites make it unique. It's a city for walking, learning and eating! You can easily see the entire downtown area in a few days. There are two major art museums, plus one for Rodin with the biggest collection of his work outside Paris. The Franklin Institute is a science museum old Ben would be proud of. I always miss the delicious cheesesteak sandwiches or hoagies. Try Jim's on South Street, Pat's or Gino's. For hoagies, it's Lee's Hoagie House. They're all over the city.
Looking for Phily Cheese Steaks

You might have had grinders, hoagies, or submarine sandwiches.....but in Philadelphia, you must have a Philly Cheese Steak. Served in a semi hard roll with oodles of calories and other delicious things....this is the spot to find the best. This is "Jim's" which they say serve THE BEST Cheese steak sandwiches in town.
