Society Hill Hotel: A Hotel With History    Check Rates

    • This small bed and breakfast was quite a nice surprise. It's packed with history, the hotel itself dating back to the 1830s. There are only about 12 rooms. They are quite cozy, providing room for a bed, tv, table and chair, and corner bathroom. All around, it's quite bijou. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. And the bar downstairs provides excellent fare for a hungry traveler. The location is centered near the historic area of town and it's easy to walk to most places or catch a bus to those further out. I highly recommend.

    • This is an old building on top of a bar. It is poorly maintained and the staff is rude and incompetent. It is a dangerous place to stay. When we arrived at 3:30pm the room was a war zone with blood drops on the bed, debris scattered all over, and mold in the bathroom. The manager told us that the maid called in sick----they didn't need a maid----they needed a bulldozer to clean that place. Avoid this place-----do not be duped by its convenient location. Sleep on the street , before you use this disaster.
