I was going for the other team. Oh wait, who are they again? :-P

There is something seedy about this thread. Maybe I have a dirty mind, but what is a single mature woman doing partying at her place with a bunch of guys from out of town. I've seen movies with this kind of plot and they have not been G rated.

Okay, they weren't at my place yet....I'm just a friendly bas @$$ Detroiter...And I should be moving into a new loft space before fall...Room for all VTers....

Travel Tips for Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh Steelers Game

by Chadgman

Going to see a Steelers game at three rivers stadim for the 1st time and of course the season I went which was 99/00 they sucked but hey a game is agame and its to bad they are wasting all that money tearing it down only to build another stadium and an arena right beside it

Oh? Was that your chair?

by cjg1

In something that seems to be uniquely Pittsburgh self centered jerks put a chair in the parking spot when they leave to block others from coming and parking there. Or so it seems. It seems no one messes with the chair and it actually works to keep useful parking spaces unavailable.

Well in this message for the people that do this, I move chairs. I wont park there after moving it as I most likely am not even driving. But I move chairs. Look around the block or down the street. Super nice people here let me tell you.

Pittsburgh--The City

by VeronicaG

Pittsburgh is located in Southwestern Pennsylvania. It's the second largest city in the state, coming after Philadelphia and lies within Allegheny County. The population is 1,336,449 making it the 13th largest city in the nation, with the distinction of being the United States' largest inland port (map from Essential Atlas of the World).

Consol Energy Center

by Ewingjr98

Consol Energy Center was completed in summer 2010 to replace Mellon Arena in downtown Pittsburgh. Completed on schedule, in time for the 2010 NHL hockey season, the arena is the permanent home for the Pittsburgh Penguins and a new Arena Football League team. More than a dozen buildings, including the old St Francis Hospital, were demolished to make room for the arena, but luckily the historic Epiphany Church was able to be saved. The arena has 18,087 seats for hockey games, which recognizes superstar Sidney Crosby's uniform number 87. The facility was designed by HOK, now called Populous, which also constructed Heinz Field and PNC Park in Pittsburgh.

University Area

by where2next

We went to this area as my dad had attended the University of Pittsburgh. The area has some interesting architecture as well as some museums. It was actually a nice area to walk around. A pitt panther statue is just across the street from the Cathedral of Learning.
