Convenient to Airport and Downtwon
While I was planning our 3 day stay in Pittsburgh I looked for a place not too far from downtown with free parking and a decent price. The Springhill Suites Pittsburgh Airport was the winner of the derby being only 11 miles and a 13 minute ride to downtown with free parking and a price of $99 plus taxes per night and then I got a 5% discount using my American Express Card to pay the bill.
The location is right off the main highway from the airport into downtown Pittsburgh. There is a mall about 2 miles away (which my wife went to of course) and a Walmart and other chain type restaurants nearby.
Parking is Free, but there is not a lot of it. On 2 of the 3 nights we had to park by the curb on the side of the building, but I found nothing to complain about since the car was there the next morning right where we parked it.
The rooms are a little older, but again the only time we ever spend in hotel rooms is to change clothes, shower and sleep, so again this place fit the bill.
Wireless internet service only in the Lobby, but you can use Internet with a wired connection in your room.
Free Breakfast served every morning. Again, nothing special, but good for a quick getaway.
Unique Quality: Pool and exercise room available which we did not use and a concrete patio area outside the pool area if you want to relax outside.

Best In Area
I always stay at this hotel in the area. It located right in the middle of everything. There is more shopping and restaraunts around this hotel than anywhere - it's a great location. Only a few miles from the airport and just 15 minutes from downtown.
The staff is incredible and the hotel is clean and beautiful. Not really a "budget" hotel but the price/value ratio is very high.
