Scranton tends to be quite a bit more cloudy and defnitely more rainy in the summer months than an average American city (excepting maybe Rochester, NY). Having an umbrella handy in the car and one of those clear plastic wrap-coats tucked in the glove compartment can save you from getting into a surprise shower and ruining your vacation clothes.
Cars in the collection are moved into this room for public display. Not all the trolleys in the collection are in the museum but are stored in Philadelphia. I do not remember the details of this Philadelphia trolley.
I actually reside in a small town about a 10 minute drive from Scranton's downtown.
Scranton is going about a bit of a rebirth, having seen its hayday in the coal era of the earlier to middle part of the century.
Oddly enough, there seems to be a focus on importing culture as opposed to employment, but as a student from a family of commuters, this is welcome.
A place I never thought I would visit but for a smile I had once seen that brightened my soul.
And for that I would travel to a place which did not have a name on the map.
I remember Elmer Fudds and the hot soup with the beer.
