The rooms were clean and smoke-free. The furniture was a bit used and dated but completely serviceable. The bath was spotless and there was infrared heater in the ceiling.
We had no problem getting a non-smoking room on the first floor with two beds away from the main traffic areas within the motel. (we always ask to see the room before we pay and most hotels are accomodating). The room had microwave, iron and hairdryer and two-cup coffee maker (free coffee also in the lobby).
There was an attached restaurant where we ate breakfast with a voucher paid by the motel.
The hallway carpets were clean but quite worn. The landscaping was minimal. The staff were smiling and helpful (one young attendant even knew where the store was that I was looking for and gave useful directions to get there).
The double occupancy cost was $80 in 2005.
pro.... location.... well away from main traffic and close to my wife's life blood (the mall)
con.... location.... because of the one-way nature of US30 in this area, we had to find creative ways to get onto US30 going east.
