level crossings add contrast to old buildings
Having passed through several times on my way to more interesting places, I noticed that the most common things to find in York other than warehouses and 35mph or less signs is ample Fortune Teller/Tarot Reader establishments as well as more Quick-Cash Loan joints than I ever thought possible. So if you need your future and a loan, York apparently has you covered.
This is a pic of me dressed up as "Madame Pace" from "Six Characters In Search Of An Author." If you ever get a chance to see this play, or even just read it....RUN!!! Run away as fast as you can!! Even after a couple months of rehearsals, none of us who were in it still have any idea what it was about. Evidently my part was the only part anyone enjoyed, partly because of my getup, and partly because of my terrible acting!
When I was a junior, I got a chance to direct a the Christmas play that would be presented to classes of young children from around York. To give you an idea of how this went....My entire cast got an award for "The Best Delivery Of A Line Not Actually In The Play." This is a picture of the set.
