unique accomodation: The Sailor's Loft

I haven't stayed in this exceptional accomodation, but had the pleasure of exploring it when we were on the historic house tour. There is a converted garage loft at the rear of one of the historic homes in the village. The owner converted the loft space to a modern, charming apartment complete with kitchen and windows with sweeeping views of the harbor. It's charming, spacious, and gorgeous.

Unique Quality: There is a queen bed and queen fold-out sofa, radiant heat or air conditioning and cable TV are included.
You can walk to restaurants, antique shops, Linden Place, churches, and the wharf area.

Rockwell House Inn

Located right on Hope Street just a few doors away from Linden Place, this is a lovely Federal style inn built in 1809. It has been featured in the New York Times, the Boston Globe and Sithsonian Magazine. There are four spacious rooms and a full breakfast is served on the veranda or in the candlelit dining room.

Bradford-Dimond-Norris House: Glorious mansion

Restored to its original grandeur with contemporary amenities, the Bradford is a majestic Federal style house in the heart of Bristol. It is located next door to Linden Place. The mansion dates to 1792. You can enjoy tea on the terrace overlooking the splendid gardens, breakfast in the elegant dining room, or play the baby grand piano in the distinguished front sitting room.
