This hotel was a great find for us and provided us with an excellent stay. We were planning a road trip that would include a few of our favorite cities and we choose this Residence Inn for a few reasons. The price was just right, the location was mid point from Foxwoods south and Newport north off of I-95 with plenty of shops and places to eat.
The hotel is new and opened its doors in July 2008. The lobby is very nice with a large fireplace dominating the waiting area. There are some really nice charis and couches. There is a lovely eating area where they serve complimentary breakfast from 6:30 am to 9:30 am which includes some hot items like sausage and scrambled eggs as well as cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee and teas, bagels, danishes and an assortment of other breakfast items.
We had a beautiful King room which included a wonderful living room and a small kitchen. The bedroom was quite nice with nice linens and a very nice size bathroom with a nice tub as well.
They also provide free wi-fi for all guests in their rooms.
The property also has a tennis court and a nice indoor pool with a hot tub as well a gym which is a must for Ferni when we travel for more than 2 nights straight.
We loved our stay and will make this our mid-point hotel every time we travel this way.
Bonus - If you stay at any Residence Inn on any given weekend until December 31, 2009, you will recieve a $50 certificate good towards any Marriott property with a two night stay.
We loved having a living space and the kitchen is a nice added feature, although I do not cook while traveling. The kitchen has a microwave and a large fridge. The living area has a nice sofa which converts to a bed and a lounge chair as well. There is a desk for your business needs with free wi-fi and a nice table with two chairs.
The highlight is always the king size bed with nice lines which allowed us an excellent night's sleep.
I never stayed at this motel, but my reason for recommending it is "location”. It is right off interstate 95, exit 6. Just ten minutes south of the airport, and dead center of the state. The price range is around $70 per night. It's located right behind the Best Western, and it's $10-$15 cheaper per night.
Complimentary Super Start Breakfast
Free Wireless High-Speed Internet Access
Free Local Telephone calls (up to 30 min)
Color Cable Television
I haven't stayed at this motel for years (15 to be exact) since I live here. But you can't go wrong with a Best Western chain, and my reason for recommending it is "location”. It is right off interstate 95, exit 6. Just ten minutes south of the airport, and dead center of the state. The price range is $79 - $85 per night. If you’d like the same location, but more budget prices, a Super 8 is right behind it.
Complimentary deluxe continental breakfast
Indoor pool, heated
24-hour front desk
