Where can I find a person in Charleston, SC or Mt. Pleasant, SC who does specialized stain glass art for individuals?

Google 'stained glass maker charleston' or 'stained glass maker Mt Pleasant SC'.

Travel Tips for Charleston

Although the weather in Charleston is generally favorable, you may want to check on the current conditions. The website below gives you access to a live web camera that shows what it is like in the Charleston area.

Hold hands with your mate and be as romantic as you possibly can. Charleston is one of the top honeymoon destinations in the USA. Let the southern charm sweep you off your feet and forget about the rest of the world. Naturally spending my first week with my new beautiful bride!!! Duh!

Window boxes

by ZanieOR

The historical district of Charleston is beautiful in May, and made that way that take great pride in their houses and gardens.
My traveling friend Marilyn was so impressed with the beauty and variety of the window boxes for flowers that bloomed everywhere, that she took many photos of them with the idea of creating a calendar.
Though she never did the calendar and later wished that maybe she had taken more photos of other subjects, her window box photos tell their own story of lovely Charleston.
If I get her permission, I will feature more of her window boxes in a Charleston travelogue.

Biggins Church Ruins

by techoverload

Its a forgotten place only known by locals. Its on hwy 402 in Moncks Corner. If you get on 402 from hwy 17a/52 its about a half mile down, the road splits, left continues on 402 and the right takes you to a boat landing. Theres a cemetery in the center, the church is in the back of the grounds.

"In 1755 it burned by forest fire, six years later in 1761 the church was rebuilt. The ruins in the photograph are believed to be from this latter building. The British burned the church again in 1781 as they re-treated to Charleston. The church was restored and used until the end of the Confederacy. In 1886 the church was once more the victim of a forest fire." (info from Berkeley County Government)

Go for a dinner at the...

by MZK

Go for a dinner at the Middleton Place! It was the most romantic dinner I have ever had and one of the most delecious ones, too. Most people think of the place as a museum and miss out on walking in the gardens at sunset before dinner - the place is only open to the costumers at the restaurant, so you avoid the heavy tourist crowd. Also you are greeted by a torch lined driveway, which leads to the old house. The food is excuisit! A famous chef, whose name I do not recall is cooking up a storm. BEWARE!!!!: MAKE A RESERVATION IN ADVANCE AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A HEFTY SUM TO SPEND! It is as expensive as everything in Charleston, but this one is worth it for the whole experience.
