Sheraton North Charleston Hotel
This hotel is located in North Charleston, an area used for conventions about 15 minutes north of downtown. its not the most convenient place to stay, but the prices here were much lower than staying in town. The hotel itself was not very impressive, but the service was friendly, the restaurant decent and decently priced and it was cost effective in comparison to staying in downtown. There's not much in the area, but the hotel operates a shuttle to the downtown area in the evenings.

My favorite is the Sheraton...
My favorite is the Sheraton North Charleston. Next would be downtown Charleston at the Charleston Place. There are many resorts on the beach too. Bed and Breakfast are all over.

Unique Quality: At Christmas they used to have a Christmas Tree Parade onb one of the floors. The trees are made up from all the different business from the area. Easy access for walking or riding in the tours, market and shops. Be careful in the evenings as you would anywhere else.
