Hide all the women and children!!!! A wild and possibly dangerous VTer is on the loose in Columbia!
Nah, that's just the relatively harmless b1bob posing on the State House grounds in front of a statue of Strom Thurmond. As you can see, Nat is posing to emulate the late South Carolinian Senator and Governor. In fact, now that I take a closer look, there is a striking resemblance between the two. Oh my goodness, could it be? Is Nat the latest love child of Strom and another one of his maids?! Hmmm, if their political ideology is a measure of their possible familial relation, then it's a no brainer. Nat is definitely Strom Thurmond's love child. You heard it hear first.
lexington county museum

a worth while stop when in columbia is the lexington county museum in nearby lexington. this interesting museum is about the history of lexington county from colonial times to the present. on the grounds of the museum is a collection of historic homes and buildings. for those interested in history and architecture the lexington county museum is worth visiting. from downtown columbia take US378 toward lexington. the museum is located on fox street a block off of US378 between I-20 and downtown lexington.

The university was chartered in 1801 and the main campus remains on the original site. The school has grown to include eight separate campuses and has a total enrollment that exceeds 37,000 students.
The mascot of the sportsteams is the gamecock.
The center of the Columbia campus is known as the Horseshoe and consists of stately buildings dating from the early nineteenth center clustered around the green commons area. At the head of the horseshoe is the McKissick Museum.
