South of the Border
"The Ultimate Truck Stop"
Located on I95 somewhere south of the midpoint between New York and Florida, South of the Border is a very popular stopover spot. Bleary eyed drivers can stop and refresh here, and restless kids can get out of the car and let off some steam.
Much of SOB's success can be attributed to South Carolina's liberal fireworks laws. For years it has been a shopping mecca for people stocking up for the 4th of July, New Years eve etc. Cherry bombs, roman candles, bottle rockets - you name it you can find 'em here.
There are also restaraunts, amusement rides, a miniature golf course and the famous sombrero water tower. Its an easy place to spend an afternoon on your way along Interstate 95.
