LOVED IT!!!!

We arrived at the TowneSuites ready to crash having driven 3+ hours. We were greeted by the most wonderful service staff that I have EVER met. My companion had an applicable discount that he had forgotten and this wonderful lady (I think her name was Marie) worked overtime to make sure that we got the discount and that a 3 day stay cost us less than $100. If this is the way TownePlace employees behave you are lucky to stay there! Not to mention that the suite was clean, neat, and organized. We definitely tipped the housekeeping staff accordingly. A MOST pleasurable stay and will defintely return.

Unique Quality: Nothing outstanding, just clean and well serviced.

Travel Tips for Greenville

Fresh Sushi

by SpaceCoastMomma about Tsunami

Nice atmosphere, cozy ambiance...my husband and I reserved a visit to this place for our rare "date night" when the in-laws were in town and eager to babysit. Fresh and beautiful sushi. We ordered so many different rolls (etc.) that I can't even remember all of their names (or maybe it was the two apple martinis I had!) ~ but they were all fabulously yummy and fresh. Fresh & beautiful sushi. For kicks, we decided to try something called a "pickle roll" and it was really a nice surprise: a roll with rice, wrapped in seaweed and, in the middle, was some sort of pickled pickle. It was yummy.

Gorgeous Greenville: a walking city

by SpaceCoastMomma

"Main Street"

Trees line Main Street and offer a good amount of shade on a hot day. Lots of shops and restaurants...

"Main Street"

Lots of places to sit and relax while you people-watch, shop or eat...or get online as free wireless is offered downtown.

"Main Street"

Just a beautiful walk along Main Street

"Reedy Falls Park"

Located in the heart of downtown is Reedy Falls Park. Take a walk on Main Street, down to the Reedy Falls Park and enjoy a picnic or a dip in the waterfall...or watch Shakespeare in the Park...

"Shakespeare in the Park"

I was down at the park on a Monday, at 8am ~ so, obviously, Shakespeare in the Park wasn't taking place. I've heard great things about the event and it sounds like loads of fun!

"Swamp Rabbit Bridge"

An old railroad used to be located here...now replaced by this footbridge.

"Stroller & Wheelchair-friendly"

The area of Reedy Falls Park / Riverwalk is very stroller and / or wheelchair-friendly. A labyrinth of walkways through and around the park offer many different levels of walking ~ from an easy stroll to a more strenuous cardio workout.

Dogs on leashes are encouraged and plenty of blue "poopy" bags are provided all throughout the park.

"Live Music Events"

After work on Thursdays (seasonally), Downtown Alive features live music for the after-work crowd...a great way to kick off the weekend! On Friday nights, Jazz concerts downtown. Here they were setting up for a Thursday night gig in the Park.

A: "Maine people are welcome just about anywhere. Maine has a good reputation. You are not considered yankees you are considered hicks from the sticks who add to the mix. "
