I would definitely recommended the Hampton Inn Bluffton. Its a great location just off I-95 and far enough from Hilton Head to be more affordable. The Hotel was very clean, staff was very helpful and the free breakfast is a great plus. The pool is ok, but nice to have at night.
Nothing that really stands out. The hotel was simple, clean, good breakfast, nice staff. So no complaints.
We stayed at a vacation rental property through Hilton Head Rentals and Golf. It was a spectacular home located at 13 Singleton, in the Singleton Beach area. This is the first time we chose a vacation rental as opposed to a hotel. We loved it. It was perfect for the large family vacation and not as expensive as you'd think when everyone pitches in and we saved money on meals, with the ability to cook for ourselves instead of eating out for every meal. I did however miss the daily maid service. I like having someone make my bed for me but the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom made up for it.
The view was awesome. We were located directly on the beach. We had our own pool and jacuzzi.
Island Club IV is a timeshare building on the North East side of Hilton Head. We were here the middle of Aug. The weather was warm, but with the ocean breezes, you could enjoy your balcony anytime of the day. We were told this was one of the older resorts on the Island, but the accomodations were very nice. Large master suite and beautiful bedding. The spare bedroom had 2 twin beds and large mirrored closets. Full kitchen and large dining room table. Front room furniture wasn't too comfortable, but was o.k. Large T.V. unit in master bedroom and living room. There was a balcony off the living room and a second off the master suite. Table and chairs plus 2 lounge chairs on the balconies. It had everything you needed. The view from our Unit 305 was outstanding. This building is not ocean front, but we were not disappointed at all. We could see the ocean peeking through the trees, the 3 tier pool area, which was lushly landscaped as well, and a nice lagoon with a fountain and geese swimming and playing around the building at all times. You could see the turtles in the lagoon from this 3rd floor unit.
We were very impressed with the lush landscaping and the 3 Tier Pool.
The pool area had a 10ft. small pool, 3-6ft pool, and a children's pool 1-2ft deep.
Plenty of lounge chairs and tables around the pool. It was never overly crowded.
They had a pebble sidewalk which led you to the beach, which was a short walk away.
We didn't use any of the other amenities, but there were plenty available, Tennis, basketball courts, bike rentals, ect.
At the beach was a shower, deck with lounge chairs, and a gazebo for guests use.
I haven't stayed here in an RV, and I haven't stayed in the marina since 2000. It is now a condo RV park.

The Westin, Hilton, Hyatt, and Daufuskie Island resort are all nice resorts. These are quite pricey but there are reasonable hotels such as the Red Roof Inn which is in a good location or even the Holiday Inn which is on the ocean in one of the best locations. The only con is that's where all the under 21 crowd hangs out...at least that's what I did when I lived there before I could get my fake ID.
There a lots of choices for hotels but not many of them are not one the beach. There are condos and houses for rent year around and the prices are actually not too bad at least in the winter.
I found the hotels to be so so but the condos tend to be good. You can search for yourself or go through a rental agency.
it is easy to contact a local agency and rent a condo or a house. Take a group with you and enjoy the stay. We usually get a condo for the week-many include the use of bikes for the week.
