resort quest: A Suite at the market C

by luna5

i went to market commons in myrtle beach before and love the place and noticed a lot of condo rentals within the shopping area. So, I decided to search around the internet where i could rent myself one of those condo rentals the next time i was in town. Although, its a 100 dollars more than my usual budget, i think that was the best accomodation i ever had since i started travelling. For an additional 20 dollars i was able to get myself a suite. I stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights.

The condo rental was just within the shopping area, great view of the fountain and have an upscale feel around it. Near the beach, outlet stores and attractions.

SLEEP INN HOTEL: Beaufort's Best

by DRUS404

I had a great stay as always. The staff always takes great care of me promptly and courteously. They make check-in and check-out fun and they make me feel like I'm at home. Kudos to the management and staff!!!

They have great marsh view rooms and the hotel is convieniently located near the marine base. Staff is incredible!!

2 Summer (or sumpter) Place: Edge of America....it really felt like it!!

by Holibags

My friend rented this gorgeous beach front house, which had four ocean facing bed rooms and plenty of room for us to chill out and just soak in its amazing location, just a stroll from Morris Island Lighthouse.

The house on arrival was really clean with 3 and a half bathrooms a large kitchen and a huge deck over looking the beach which was just the business for chilling with a few cold beers in the balmy nights!

I would really recommend this place to stay for families, our party had two kids with us and as the beach wasnt as busy as it was nearer the town it meant we could happily let them play on the beach by themselves as we had such a great view from the deck they were never really out of sight and didnt feel smothered..........happy kids = happy holidays!!

The location!! this is one of the last beach houses at this end of the beach so it was nice and private, quiet in the evenings and during the week we could have the beach to ourselves on the mornings!

Sleep Inn Airport Columbia: Sleep Inn Airport Columbia

Clean, but nothing exceptional. I would recommend it if it were a good price for the night. Close to the airport.

Holiday Inn Hilton Head Island: Directly On the Beach

by Keywest9

Lovely junior suite with a side view of the ocean on the fifth floor with a very nice king size bed.

Large pool right on the ocean with tons of lounge chairs.

Shelter Cove Marina Condo's: Hilton Head Best Accomodation

by Blkbelt57

Beautiful view of marina in one direction, the sound in the other. Marina has 5-6 great resteraunts and shops. Marina is well lighted at night, large enough to get your exercise walk in. Disney has a property on the other side of the marina. Just outstanding environment. This is not the place to stay if you want Ocean View. I found Ocean view windy and boring. This place is sheltered from the wind and rain and you can watch people and beautiful boats come and go. Dolphins are abundant in the sound waters. Request marina view if possible.

Anywhere in the North Charleston area: Stay as far away from...

by alwayzblu

I live in North Charleston so there really isn't any reason for me to stay at these places but I know people who "LIVE" off of Motels off of Rivers Avenue and Motel 6 off ashley phospate...a good place if you are virtually homeless with limited income but otherwise dont waste your money because there is a lot of DRUG dealers/Users and Prostitutes at these places..and a few don't change their sheets but once a week.....
Stay away from the Indian or arabic looking people running these places....

oh and Don't lie if you have 2 people. make sure you tell them 2 people because they will come with the police knocking down your door..even though their isnt a price differnce from one to two people a lot of times or maybe a small fee...

you will get strange knocks on your door from people you don't know who thinks their drug dealing friends is still staying in that rooom..
you will get phone calls all hours of the night (since drug users doesn't sleep when normal people sleep)

Its fairly cheap usually around 35 to 50 bucks a night.

The sheets don't get changed that often.

Traveler's Inn: Clean, Comfortable, Cheap

by Stephen-KarenConn

I have stayed in many fine accomodations throughout the state of South Carolina, but when I am on a road trip, as I was in June, 2006, I often look for the cheapest place to spend the night. This is where I stayed just off I-26 in Clinton, SC.

My room was not the most modern, but it was clean, comfortable and only $35 plus tax. Compare that to $50 at a franchise motel of approximately the same quality next door. My non-smoking room was complete with a comfortable king sized bed, chair, cable TV, and a good hot shower.

Small independent "Mom & Pop" operations like this are often a great bargain. Occasionally you may find one that is not up to standard, so it often pays to inspect your room before you lay down your money.

Baywatch Resort: Luxurious Lodging

by Astrobuck

This place is absolutely awesome!! For starters, it's HUGE!! 19 Floors with 3 towers. (The 19th floor is the penthouse).

There are a couple of Tiki Bars, a fitness center, 4 hot-tub jacuzzis, 2 lazy rivers, and 3 swimming pools, all oceanfront.

Beautiful views and great service.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground: Award Winning Campground

by missmommy19

Ocean Lakes is a huge campground open year round, with 893 pull-through campsites as well as houses and mobile homes also available to rent. They have and indoor and outdoor pool, kiddie pool, miniature golfcourse, arcade, 2 oceanfront playgrounds, lakes, snackbars, camptown store, laundromat, RV center, golfcart rentals, and even ATM machines. The staff was courteous, although check-in on Saturdays can be a long ordeal.

It was wonderful to be able to walk to the beach or the pools. There are definitely too many golfcarts riding around though.
